Havana Culinary and Culture organizes educational exchange programs and people-to-people travel for U.S. citizens and residents to Cuba. We believe our two countries have much to learn from each other and meaningful exchanges that foster dialogue can be highly beneficial to strengthening the artistic, environmental, medical, scientific, and social science communities in the U.S. and Cuba. Most importantly, increased travel and people-to-people contact will strengthen ties between ordinary Americans and Cubans.
Havana Culinary and Culture's mission is to connect the people of the United States and Cuba. This is done through coordinating travel between both countries - in both directions - to facilitate two-way learning; as well as producing studies and publications about issues of mutual concern and organizing events in the United States that deal with issues related to Cuba and U.S. -Cuba relations.
Havana Culinary and Culture is run by Adam Linderman and Collin Laverty. Mr. Linderman, a leader in the travel and tourism field, has a long history of organizing exchanges between cultural and culinary figures from the United States and Cuba. He’s traveled extensively to the island, working frequently with top chefs and musicians on various projects. Mr. Laverty is a well-respected analyst on U.S. – Cuba relations and has authorized several scholarly articles and reports. His recently released book, Cuba's New Resolve: Economic Reform and its Implications for U.S. Policy, was widely reported on in U.S. and Cuban media.
Havana Culinary and Culture is recognized and respected for its wide-ranging contacts with the Cuban people, at all levels of society. Unlike other companies that offer generic Cuba travel experiences, we provide unique, customized trips to Cuba to really get to know the island and its people. Havana Culinary and Culture holds a license from the U.S. Treasury (No. CT-2013-300203-1) to organize people-to-people travel to Cuba, and works closely with Cuba Educational Travel, which also holds a license from U.S. Treasury (No. CT-2012-294261-1) to facilitate travel to the island.

Adam and Collin use their trips to really connect people. I’ve met a lot of Americans, and been able to show my neighborhood [Regla] to a lot of visits, resulting in friendships and professional relationships that go a long way.
